UI/UX deliverable

The Terra design system

The tokens, components and rules the whole brand is built from. This is the document we hand over at the end of a UI/UX engagement.

01 · Colour

Earth tones with one warm accent. Every pairing below meets WCAG AA for body text.

02 · Typography

Fraunces for anything with a voice, Karla for anything with a job.

Display · Fraunces 600 · clamp(2.3rem, 5.4vw, 4.1rem)
Picked this morning
Heading · Fraunces 600 · clamp(1.7rem, 3.6vw, 2.7rem)
What comes when
Body · Karla 400 · 1rem / 1.68
Body text sits at sixteen pixels with generous leading. Lines are capped near sixty characters so the eye does not have to hunt for the next one.
Eyebrow · Karla 700 · 0.7rem · 0.2em tracking · uppercase
Certified organic

03 · Buttons & inputs

Buttons

Primary is forest green and turns clay on hover — the one deliberate colour shift in the system. Radius is always fully rounded. Every button lifts 2px on hover.

Form fields

We need a valid email

Focus rings use sage at 18% opacity. Errors use clay, never pure red.

Can I skip a week?

Yes, from your account, up to midnight two days before the delivery.

What about fennel?

Leave it out when you build the box.

05 · Spacing & radius

Scale

A 4px base. Sections breathe on a fluid clamp between 52 and 104 pixels.

Corner radius

12 — inputs
14 — small
26 — cards
full — buttons

Organic shapes carry the brand: the hero image uses an arch, section joins use a hand-drawn wave rather than a straight edge.

06 · Principles

Four rules we held to

Warmth over contrast

Nothing sits on pure white or pure black. Cream and ink keep the page calm on a screen at 6am.

Photography does the selling

The interface stays quiet so the produce can be the loudest thing on the page.

Curves, not corners

Arches, waves and full-round buttons. Nothing about a farm is a rectangle.

Plain words

"Picked this morning" beats "farm-fresh quality produce" every time.
